The Question We All Ask Ourselves on Our Self-Love Journey
How can I change myself to finally accept myself?
But Here’s something I learned early on in my self-love journey:
Self-love isn’t about changing yourself completely.
It’s about learning how to work toward loving yourself more and happiness, how to see the spark and light within you again without trying to fix every part of who you are.
And that is a whole different perspective
I realised I needed to stop comparing myself.
So I sarted to unfollow models and those „perfect“ girls on Social Media because they only show want they want us to see: not their real lives. And that helped me a lot.
no more fake expectations. Jus realness.
Because remember no one is perfect. But we can work on ourselves especially, on our mindset and the way we look at us.
So Self-Love is messy and it allows us to feel so intense, and it can be so overwhelming.
But the most important part of self-love is choosing yourself again and again.
Why Mindset Is the Key to Self-Love
Your mindset back block LOVING YOURSELF when it tells you:
- you are too big
- you are too chubby
- you are not „good“ enough
Reconnecting With My Inner Self for More Self-Love
As my mindset & loving myself slowly changed,
I realised somethingelse:
Self-Love is deepy connected to how I feel in my body. for me it means feeling confident within myself and that confidence is closely tied to feminine energy.
And this does not happen overnight.
So we need to work on it but also a reminder:
I never completely left all my bad habits behind because it is a journey and to have bad days is okay too!
Just do not loose yourself again: treat yourself good in those moments.
But I stopped trying to fix myself all the time,
AND THAT IS AN ACT OF MOVING FORWARD
I am learning to love my body, my curves, my softness….
learning how to spread more love to myself and even on the days
I do not give 100% – I deserve love and acceptance.
Small Daily Self-Love Reminders
These are genetle thoughts to come back to during your day.
- You do not need to earn rest, love or softness
- Your worth does not change based on how you look today
- Your Progress in self-love is not linear and that is so Okay!
- The feeling to be disconnected does not mean you are failing
- You are allowed to take up space, exactly as you are
Come back to these reminders whenever your mind gets lost!
When Self-Love Feels Hard
On the days when loving yourself feels impossible FOCUS ON YOUR BODY NOT YOUR THOUGHTS….
- Drink a glass of water or make a warm tea when you wake up
- Step outside for fresh air, even if it is just for five minutes
- Take a warm shower and slowly wash your body with intention
- Put on your fav song and let yourself be YOU
- Eat something simple & nourishing, without guilt: a comfy meal!
- Grab your journal and enjoy your own company and reflect on your thoughts and write them down!
These moments won’t fix everything
but they bring you back to feel better and calm you down..
Final Reminder
Self-love comes FROM WITHIN… which means
the more you focus on your INNER-SELF
the more your spark returns step by step.
This is your journey to love every part of yourself.
And you are allowed to struggle but also allowed to enjoy it!
